Self Coiling / Manual Shutters

Ideal for smaller openings, this type of shutter can be manually operated by handles attached to the bottom rail. Manual shutters are mainly designed to be left up or used on an infrequent basis.

In the circumstance of fire, the shutter is automatically closed by a fusible link, or if the door is to be activated by a remote fire alarm signal, a speed governor should be included to control the shutter curtains in descent.

Similar to the self-coiling shutter system (yet suitable for larger openings), this type is designed to be left up, to only be closed in the event of a fire.

Maximum structural size: 5000mm wide x 4000mm high

Electrically Operated Shutters

Designed particularly to suit larger openings (but not limited to), our electrically-operated fire shutters are driven by a geared motor, activated by a push button control station.

It can be manually operated by pulling a cord to close the shutter, with a hand chain to open it. These types of shutters are not recommended for opening in constant use.
